Welcome message from our President

Thank you for visiting us. Here is a warm welcome from the Pan-African Leadership Institute (PALI) family to you.

Africa is the most well-endowed continent on Earth, rich in many natural resources. The abundance of minerals, rivers, and fertile land is openly visible for all to see. The only resource lacking at this stage of our development is the scarce resource of leadership, the type of holistic, entrepreneurial and conscientious leadership needed to coordinate, direct and guide our untapped potential. That is why we started PALI. And that is why I’m excited you are reading this because together, we can develop the leadership skills needed to transport Africa to a future where she stands on her feet with the best of the world.

About me

When I completed high school at Presec-Legon in Accra, Ghana, I volunteered with a newly founded youth leadership organisation called Chosen Generation, an organisation that delivered transformational leadership experiences to the youth. I went on to serve as its President for over 15 years. I have held leadership positions in different fields from my work with Deloitte, Sight Savers International, the Australian High Commission, GH Media School, consultancy work, philanthropy and church among others.

For the last decade, I have been working with disadvantaged youth through the Osei-Kusi Foundation and from my direct contact with thousands of youth, I am convinced that when Africa’s leadership potential is unleashed, it will be seen and heard around the world.

Why Executive Education

Oftentimes, during and immediately after school, we are full of energy to express our leadership potential to make our mark in the world. During this period, we form our lifelong friends. However, once we get into the real world, start jobs and begin raising families, our energies are diverted and the leadership dreams we had when we were young often lie unattended to.

This is precisely where executive education comes in. You take the time during the busy days of growing your career to reconnect with your vision, assess where your impact is over or underachieving, and make the needed changes where appropriate. It is a different type of education for sure. It is not focused on grades and passing exams, but on expressing one’s full potential with a group of high-performing executives at similar or higher stages in their careers.

Welcome

I’m excited to welcome you to the Pan-African Leadership Institute. You’re on a journey to bring out your full potentialities which lie just beneath the surface. Our task is to create an environment for this transformation to occur. We are honored to share this journey with you.

Humbly yours,

Dr. Kofi Osei-Kusi, President
