Non-profit (Philanthropic) Leadership Professional Certificate.

This course is designed to acquaint executive students with the field of philanthropy. Philanthropic Leadership is leadership that is focused on the good of the people through generosity, benevolence and altruism. This course will expose students to individual and corporate philanthropy and how these actions can impact the world for the good of others. According to the Council on Foundations, corporate philanthropy refers to investments and activities a company voluntarily undertakes to responsibly manage and account for its impact upon society. This course will look at examples of philanthropy that include money, product donations, time, and in-kind services. It will also introduce students to several ways to raise funds and secrets to growing a non-profit organization.  It concludes with a Wisdom Workshop focused on Pan-Africanism and Networking through groups.
